HATARALIYADDA: The Government aims to uplift the villagers' living standard by developing the infrastructure facilities such as drinking water, electricity and roads on priority basis. The Government expects to awaken the village through its Gami Isura programme. Said Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama at the inauguration of Gami Isura programme at the T.B. Ilangaratne National School auditorium in Hataraliyadda.

"We as people's representatives are dedicated to uplift the people's living standard which was also confirmed in the Mahinda Chintanaya. The Rambukkana-Harispattuwa Road via Hataraliyadda will be developed under the Maga Neguma programme, he said.

"I met the Asian Development Bank President and stressed the need of funds for providing Electricity to every village." "The Parliamentarians should always consider the people's needs of their respective electorate and they must refrain from corruptions, thuggery, bribe, and malpractices", he said.

"We are a nation with a proud history and cultural heritage, and every person of the country should be prepared to devote their best to the country," said Minister Amunugama.
