No room for terrorism to ruin economy - President

Sri Lanka's accelerated development process will not be allowed to be slowed down by acts of terrorism, President Mahinda Rajapaksa asserted yesterday. Speaking at the inauguration of the Lankaputhra Development Bank at Temple Trees yesterday, President Rajapaksa said that terrorists want to destabilise the economy which is now surging ahead at a commendable pace.

Lanka to ink FTA with Bangladesh

Sri Lanka is looking at formulating a Free Trade Agreements with Bangladesh," said President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Speaking at the inauguration of Lankaputhra Development Bank at Temple Trees yesterday, he said that Sri Lanka already has FTAs with India and Pakistan and want to broadbase it to other countries in the region as well.
