'Conservation of Polonnaruwa' lecture series

COLOMBO: "Conservation of Polonnaruwa World Heritage City" will be the theme of a series of lectures organised by the Central Cultural Fund at the Alahana Pirivena project Museum Complex from July 3 to 7 under its Weekly 'Prabodhini' program.

The inaugural lecture on July 3 at 10.30 a.m. will be for school children. Thereafter lectures for the general public will be held daily from 1.30 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. The program will conclude on July 7 with a Shramadana to clean up and conserve cultural monuments by clearing plastic, polythene and other waste, said a Government Information Department press release.
