Troops repulse LTTE attack in Sampur

Troops yesterday retaliated a major LTTE attack that was directed from Sampur towards the troops engaged in search and clear operations in Thoppur and Selvanagar, after engaging LTTE positions in Sampur with heavy artillery and mortar fire, military sources told the Daily News yesterday.
