Lanka nets USD 64m in first half of '06, via foreign currency
exchange
Sri Lanka was able to gain USD 64 million into
the banking system in the first half of this year through foreign
currency exchange. Assistant Governor of the Central Bank of Sri
Lanka Y.M.W.B. Weerasekara said last year it declined due to the
tsunami and the impact made by the tsunami on the tourism industry.
