Waidya to officiate at IAAF World Cup

INVITED: P.H.D. Waidyatilaka, the Sri Lankan International Technical Official has been invited by the International Association of Athletics Federation to officiate as an ITO at the IAAF World Cup in Athens starting on 16th Sept.

Waidyatilaka, the only Internationally recognized Technical Official in Sri Lanka and one of the two qualified ITOs in Asia is highly respected and sought after in International Athletics circle.

Waidyatilaka topped the list in Asia at all ITO examinations held to date. His earlier assignments as an ITO were as follows: Commonwealth Games in Manchester (2002), World Championship in Paris (2003), World Youth Championship in Morocco (2005), Commonwealth Games in Malbourne (2006)

Waidyatilaka President of Sri Lanka Masters Athletics is also the Chairman Technical Committee of the Asian Masters Athletics and a member of the Stadia Committee of the World Body.
