Several bodies recovered in Jaffna

JAFFNA: Three bodies with gunshot injuries were found yesterday in Jaffna at three different locations, by troops on patrol, defence officials said.

Army said the killings might have taken place on Thursday and by Friday noon at least five dead bodies, including a body from Batticaloa were recovered, all with fatal gunshot injuries in them.

The Media Centre for National Security said they suspect the LTTE to be behind the killings.

Security Forces found the bullet-riddled bodies of three men in Jaffna.

Another person was similarly shot dead by unidentified attackers on Thursday, the website said. (RS)
