Navy ferries another batch of civilians
ONE thousand civilians from Jaffna were ferried
by the Navy from the Kankesanthurai harbour to the Trincomalee port
in the chartered vessel Jet liner yesterday, Navy sources said.
THE Army pounded LTTE positions in Pulipanchikal
and Tharavikulam in Batticaloa with mortar and artillery to
neutralise LTTE mortar attacks directed towards the Kiran and
Vavunathivu Army camps yesterday morning.
