Suntel launches state-of-the-art call center in Kandy

CALL CENTRE: Suntel launched its first out of town call centre at Prince Street, Kandy. This will be the first Suntel call centre to operate outside of Colombo and is the first state of the art call centre to be launched by any private fixed line telecom provider in the country.

Suntel has also relocated their existing Centre to the new Call Centre premises, combining the two to provide easier access and added convenience to their customers.

The Suntel centre will operate as a complete service centre under the supervision of over 40 agents and will meet with the rising demand of their fast expanding customer base Islandwide.

The launch event will be followed by a week long period of special promotional offers and attractive packages for new and existing customers who walk in to the Suntel Centre.

With the launch of this new call centre, Suntel aims to create more job opportunities for the city dwellers and youth within Kandy and its outskirts. Taking into account the number of leading schools in Kandy, it is Suntel's aim to expose the town's youth to the telecommunication industry and its developing trends, whilst creating better career opportunities for them.

This would also meet with the Company's long-term goal of contributing towards the economic growth of the country by uplifting its unemployment rate.

Speaking of the launch of the new centre, Jeremy Huxtable - Managing Director of Suntel said, 'As a focused corporate, we have always believed in delivering the best customer service, by using the right mechanisms and advanced technologies that in turn satisfy our customer needs.

The Kandy call centre will be well equipped, to deliver speedy transactions by a competent team of customer care agents, who are trained at handling customers efficiently and pleasantly.

Through this launch we also plan to employ many youth who seek employment in Kandy and introduce them to a growing market such as telecommunication.' In line with the Company's track record of providing excellent service to their customers and continuing to bring in new innovations to the local telecom industry, Suntel plans to introduce broadband in the near future which will enable them to become a full service provider in both their residential and business operations, allowing them to cater to the individual needs of customers.

With an all digital network that connects thousands of residential customers and business ranging from little road side shops to the leading blue chips of Colombo, Suntel uses the latest technology, innovative thinking and an unparalleled service commitment to customize telecom solutions that can meet the simplest or the most sophisticated telecommunication needs.
