Mercantile league TT tourney begins

TABLE TENNIS: The Mercantile Inter-Club League Tournament, organised by the Mercantile Table Tennis Association (MTTA) started yesterday at the S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium Mount Lavinia and will be played till tomorrow.

Twenty men's and six women's teams are competing in five divisions for men's and two divisions for women. Participating teams:

Mens 'A' division: Seylan Bank 'A', Ceylinco 'A', Ceylinco 'B'. Women: Ceylinco, Seylan Bank, SriLankan Airlines, Commercial Bank.

Mens 'B' division: Astron 'A', Hayleys 'A', Singer 'A', Seylan Bank 'B', Commercial Bank 'A'. Women: CTC, Sri Lanka Insurance, Dialog GSM.

Mens 'C' division: SriLankan Airlines 'A', Singer 'B', Hayleys 'B', CTC 'A', Ceylinco 'C', Commercial Bank 'B'.

Mens 'D' division: SriLankan Airlines 'B', Astron 'B', Hayleys 'C', Hilton.

Mens 'E' division: SriLankan Airlines 'C', CTC 'B', Dialog 'A', Sri Lanka Insurance.

Meanwhile, 'B' division matches will be played today and men's 'A' and women's 'A' division matches are scheduled to be played tomorrow.
