The Average Weighted Prime
Lending Rates (AWPLR) & the Lowest Prime Rate (LPR) during the week
ended 8th December, 2006 by all commercial banks were 14.08 percent and
11.50 per cent respectively.
The Average Weighted Deposit Rate (AWDR) of the Commercial banks for the
month of October, 2006 was 7.87 percent.
