LTTE ploy to gain international sympathy
Captive civilians used for labour at Tiger bases:
THE Security Forces yesterday charged that the
LTTE was engaged in a vicious campaign against the Security Forces
using the civilians held in their captivity to gain international
sympathy.

Scotland Yard here for Raviraj probe
A team of Scotland Yard crime experts will
arrive in Colombo today to assist in the MP N. Raviraj assassination
investigation, Foreign Ministry sources said yesterday. Led by a
detective Chief Inspector of the British Police the five member team
comprises two forensic experts and two senior police officers, a
British High Commission spokesman said.
