Surrendering to terror
If devolution and peace packages are advanced
with the motive of taming the LTTE, the peace lobby and the liberals
will be disappointed at the outcome. Devolution should be advanced
only and only because it is good governance for the greater benefit
of the citizens of Sri Lanka. The LTTE should be dealt with in a
different manner.

No to Colombo Garbage!
At last Polythene products thinner than 20
microns are to be banned. But manufacturers started producing 21
micron polythene sheets and bags adding more volume of plastics to
the environment. What can we do now? I don't claim that Colombo is
the most polluted city in Asia. But while many cities becoming more
environmentally friendly, Colombo is moving towards the other
direction.
