Sangaree urges caution by Tamil Nadu

Nadu to act with care and caution in its dealings with the Sri
Lankan ethnic problem and not allow its people to be swayed by the
emotional speeches of local politicians ignoring their negative fall
out in Sri Lanka.

Operations on to restore infrastructure in N'Eliya
As the weather improved the Government machinery
rolled into action assisted by the Security Forces and the Police
yesterday to restore the badly affected infrastructure in
landslide-hit Walapane and Hanguranketa in the Nuwara Eliya

1.9% tourist rise despite terrorist bogey
Despite the adverse publicity generated by the
Western media and negative travel advisories from Europe Sri Lanka
saw an increase of tourist arrivals last year. The figures showed a
1.9 per cent increase.
