ICICI Bank launches Senior Citizens account

COLOMBO: ICICI Bank, India's second largest Bank, has launched its latest innovative banking facility; this time specially geared for the senior citizens of the country. The new senior citizens account will offer customers attractive interest rates coupled with greater convenience and host of benefits.

Country Head, ICICI Bank, Naveen Agarwal said, "The senior citizens of this country form a very important segment of society and we felt that it was only right that we introduce this scheme which has had great success in India to our customers in Sri Lanka as well.

At ICICI Bank, customer convenience is utilised as a strategic tool across all our business lines, and the Senior Citizens Account is all about maximizing customer convenience and benefits".

All Senior Citizens (above the age of 55) who open a savings account with the Bank will be entitled to an interest rate that is higher by 2% to that of existing rates with the interest being paid monthly.

All ICICI Bank Senior Citizens will be entitled to special discounts at Apollo Hospitals on a tailor-made health check up package specially for ICICI Bank and also special rates for all other health check up schemes.

Special rates would also be provided for any medicine purchased from Apollo Hospital pharmacies.
