The Navy yesterday stepped up its humanitarian mission by transporting another 1,000 civilians from Jaffna to Trincomalee by ‘Jet Liner’ in the absence of the ship ‘Green Ocean’ which is now under repair. After the closure of A-9 road, the Navy had transported 21,373 civilians using ‘Seruvila’, ‘Green Ocean’ and ‘Shakthi’ ships. Here, two women sailors assisting an old woman to board the ship.
