Wattala BC men, DPMC women enter finals

BASKETBALL: Wattala BC beat Colombo BC by 80 points to 67 in the first semi-final of the men's `A' Division of the Colombo Super League Basketball tournament played at Depot Police Courts on Monday after leading 47-38 at half time.

Sankotha Dayaratne (20), P.Pushpakumara (14) and Niroshan Danusha (17) did the bulk of the scoring for Wattala BC, while Chamath Dhanawansa (15), Jagath Kulatunga (15) and Dishen Wille (12) excelled for the losers.

David Peiris motor company beat Stallions by 49 points to 24 in the second semi-final of the women's 'B' Division of the Colombo Super League Basketball Tournament played at Depot Police Courts on Monday after leading 23-7 at half time.

Erandhi Gallage (17) and Kalpani Fernando (6) gave a sterling display for the winners while Ishani Sandamini (6) and Chrishani Fernando (5) stood out for the losers.

David Peiris motor company will take on Josephians in the women's 'B' Division final on February 14 (Wednesday) at Depot Police Courts.
