LTTE trying to prevent civilians entering cleared areas - Navy

THE Sri Lanka Navy yesterday accused the LTTE of engaging in a vicious campaign to prevent civilians taking refuge in Government controlled areas by forcibly abducting fishermen and other civilians in Mannar.

LTTE abducts seven in Mannar

An LTTE cadre was shot dead by Security Forces at the Army Nagarkovil Forward Defence Line yesterday morning while in another incident seven youths were abducted by the Sea Tigers in Mannar, the Media Centre for the National Security said.
