Johnston has not returned state property:Fraud Bureau tells court

The Colombo Fraud Investigations Bureau (CFIB) yesterday reported to the Colombo Chief Magistrate that United National Party Parliamentarian and former Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Johnston Fernando had failed to return State property after vacating office as a Government Minister.

Colombo Municipal Council Opposition Leader Vasudeva Nanayakkara yesterday tabled a list of alleged malpractices and corrupt activities within the present CMC administration since the beginning of its tenure among which are sanction granted for illegal constructions and financial irregularities when the Council met yesterday.
