BoC records Rs. 5.9b profit for 2006

The Bank of Ceylon's annual income increased by 29 per cent from Rs 27.32 billion to Rs 35.10 billion in 2006 which is more than double the corresponding increase of 14 per cent in the previous year, its Chairman Udayasri Kariyawasam said.
