BUSES FOR JAFFNA
The Transport Ministry released a fleet of 15 new buses and spare parts valued at Rs.50 million under the Jathika Saviya programme to Jaffna on Tuesday to improve public transport in the area. This was in addition to more than 250 new buses sent to North-East depots within the past few months. The road network too is being developed. Here, the buses being loaded into a vessel bound for the North.

Jobs for 20,000 more graduates

The Government is planning to recruit more than 2O,000 graduates for vacancies in various State sector institutions, Finance and State Revenue Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said yesterday.
