Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapksa. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Air Chief Marshal Donald Perera and Army Commander Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka visited Vavuniya and Ampara morning. The visiting entourage first met ground Commanders in Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni and spoke to the Ground Commanders. Afterwards the delegation flew to Ampara and met a cross section of ground Commanders. During a special meeting held at Security Forces Headquarters further security measures to be taken against LTTE atrocities in future were discussed at length.
