Lankan athletes geared to face challenges
The Sri Lankan athletes who arrived on Sunday
were seen undergoing a training session on Monday Morning at the
National Stadium here in Bangkok. Soon after the training session
the manager of the Sri Lankan contingent K.G. Badra said the
athletes were in good shape to face the challenges posed by athletes
from other participating countries.

Good opportunity for youngsters to prove - Mahela
The Sri Lanka cricket captain, Mahela
Jayawardene, addressing the media at the press briefing last evening
in connection with the three ODIs and three test matches against
Bangladesh for the 'Laqshya' trophy that was on display,
reemphasized the need for opportunities to be given for up and
coming aspiring cricketers to play and gain the much needed
experience and, felt that this series would serve that purpose.

Army in majestic win over Air Force
The Sri Lanka Army came up with a marvellous
display to score a glorious win over Sri Lanka Air Force by 24
points to 7 at Havelock Park on Friday to register their first win
for the season.
