Sigiriya: A lost opportunity

Seven Wonders of the World project. The response was overwhelming
and most readers opted for Sigiriya. It is too late for inclusion in
the New Seven Wonders, but Sri Lankans all over the world will

An exemplary Bhikku
NEEDLESS to say that the Bhikkhu Sasana lost
many distinguished Buddhist monks of the Order of the Blessed One
and indeed the Most Venerable Akuretiye Amarawansha Nayaka Thera
belongs to the galaxy of celebrated scholar monks noted for their
erudition and piety who have preserved the pristine teachings of the
Buddha.

Cancer: not an automatic death sentence
THERE are also many dos and donts you should
observe, to try to ensure that cancer does not take root in your
genetic soil. Smoking, is a definite 'no'. It is not only linked to
a higher risk of cancer but also associated with a higher risk of
bronchitis, and a higher incidence of strokes.
