 The fisheries sector is expecting $ one billion from exports this year. In a bid to promote fisheries sector and give a better living standard to local fishermen and increase exports Hellenic Aid, would be funding three projects in the fishing sector in cooperation with the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Minister of Fisheries and the Head of Hellenic Aid Special Mission to Colombo of the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi, Minister Counsellor- Development Cooperation George Filippeos.
