Troops advance further in Thoppigala
The Security Forces are rapidly advancing to the
hinterlands of Thoppigala and have cleared north of Narakamulla and
south of Thoppigala during the last 48 hours flushing out the LTTE
cadres, military sources said.

Three Airmen injured in mishap
Three airmen at the Katunayake Air Base were
injured as a 30 mm canon of a Kfir fighter jet misfired while
undergoing repairs last afternoon, Air Force Spokesman Group Captain
