Resounding win for Renown

SOCCER: Renown SC scored a fine 6-1 victory over home town rivals Old Bens SC on Wednesday. Renown SC took a firm lead in the early stage with N.C. Abeysekera and M. Surkanth scoring in the 4th and 15th minutes respectively. The lemons were taken with Renown SC leading 2-0.

The second session was the most productive for Renown SC where they managed to score four more goals. This goal spree started with M.I. Anaan adding the third with only four minutes into the session. Few minutes later Old Bens managed to reduce the lead through the goal scored by Yoga Raja in the 58th minute.

Anaan fired his second goal to extend the lead for Renown. The last stages saw the winners add two more goals through the boots of D. Sathyendran and N.C. Abeysekera his second goal to seal a resounding victory for Renown SC.
