Chevron switches to environmentally-conscious packaging

PACKAGING: Chevron Lubricants Lanka has introduced environmentally-conscious standardised packaging for its complete range of lubricant products in Sri Lanka. This is part of the global organisation’s initiative to standardise packaging in the Asia Pacific and introduce cans that have a minimal impact on the environment.

Recently, Chevron Sri Lanka unveiled its new look for its complete range of lubricant products as the latest step in its ongoing commitment to deliver enhanced benefits for its customers.

The new standardised packaging will make it easier for customers to recognise genuine Caltex products across the Asia Pacific region that meet international standards.

“Having a standardised look for each lubricant range across the region makes it easier for customers to recognise genuine Caltex products. The new contemporary look given to the packaging not only looks better but is designed to provide maximum convenience for all our customers”, said Managing Director / CEO for Chevron in Sri Lanka Kishu Gomes.

The Caltex Havoline(r), Delo(r), and Revtex(r) range of engine oils and Specialties which have established a reputation for reliability and unsurpassed performance in the local market will see the introduction of ergonomically designed bottles for easier handling with tamper-proof caps to further ensure product integrity.

Lanka branded items have also been redesigned to take on these changes for the convenience of customers. The new cans have been designed to cater to the diverse needs of consumers”, said Chief Technology Manager for Chevron in Sri Lanka Dr. Gamini Amarasekera.

Most importantly the new packaging will have a positive environmental impact minimising the wastage of oil and reducing the plastic weightage of the cans.”

Some products have also been enhanced with improved formulations, meeting and exceeding the latest specifications for engine oils to deliver better and longer lasting performance for vehicles, he said.
