BOI signs agreement with Infotechs International
The BOI signed an agreement with Infotechs International to set up a
software development company.
Commenting on the agreement Director Infotechs Keerthi de Silva said
“the BOI processed the project and within one week approval was given.
‘We are satisfied with the service of the BOI and Minister Amunugama
and Chairman Dhammika Perera were very supportiveâ€.

for the SAARC region, notably, India

Initially the company was involved in telecom infrastructure and has
now moved into software for mobile and fixed phones.
Another area is the development of website for mobile phones.
Infotechs is currently developing 250 such websites, the most famous
being colombocity.mobi and lankahospitals.mobi. Dotmobi is the first and
only top level domain dedicated to delivering the Internet to mobile
devices.
This is designed to guide mobile users to made-for-mobile Internet
content and service that can be accessed with confidence. With four
mobile phones purchased for every one personal computer, there’s a world
of people whose main access point to the Internet is a mobile device.
Dotmobi websites are required to follow certain guidelines, which are
intended to ensure optimal enjoyment from a mobile device.
It also means that Dotmobi users receive the most relevant content
and information, saving them time and money.
Dotmobi already has the support of industry Leaders such as Google,
Nokia, Microsoft, Vodafone, Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, Hutch, T-Mobile
and Visa to name a few.
Infotechs International (Pvt) Ltd, saw the opportunity and the
potential of owing sites and registered local and CSR (Corporate Social
Responsibility) mobi sites such as Colombocity, Lankainsurance,
Lankahospitals, Lankafashion, Lankataxis, Lankaproperties, Pitaratajobs,
Srilankan, Saveplanet, Hivaidsinfo, Dengueinfo, Cancermedicine,
Heartmedicine to name a few. These sites could be viewed from any part
