Muttur killings: Australian expert upholds Lankan expert's
verdict
The Australian forensic expert who assisted in
the investigation into the 17 aid workers' killing in Muttur has
upheld the Sri Lankan ballistics expert's conclusion. He has
admitted that the bullets used for the killing were of the same
calibre (7.62) and that he made a wrong conclusion in challenging
the report of the Sri Lankan ballistics expert.

Jordan expresses support to monitor and counter LTTE activities
Jordan also confirmed its total opposition to
terrorism and expressed its willingness to cooperate with Sri Lankan
authorities in monitoring LTTE fund raising activities in the
Kingdom and in exchanging intelligence. Jordan also confirmed the
visit of a large Jordanian business delegation to Sri Lanka in

Coconut shell claymore found
The Naval patrol yesterday detected a claymore
placed inside a coconut shell in Eluthur, Mannar, Navy spokesman
Commander D.P.K. Dassanayake said. "The claymore mine was carefully
concealed inside a coconut and laid beside the road targeting the
Navy foot patrol and civilians. Sailors detected the claymore inside
the coconut shell," he said
