North, East Citizens’ Committees to assist Police on complaints

The Police have agreed to obtain assistance of recognised Citizens’ Committees to record complaints by the public in several districts of the Northern and Eastern Provinces, beginning with the Mannar district, the Presidential Secretariat said.

Great year for Bourse

Both price indices, the All Share Price Index and the Milanka Price Index reached their highest ever levels during the year. The ASPI reached its peak on December 1 by recording 2,789.8 points and the MPI reached its all time high on the same day, recording 3,795.2 points.
