Negotiated end to conflict Govt's aim
President tells world leaders at UN:
The Government launched military operations only
to exert pressure on terrorists to convince them that it will not be
possible for them to obtain a military victory and its goal remains
a negotiated and honourable end to the unfortunate conflict,
President Mahinda Rajapaksa told world leaders at the 62nd Session
of the United Nations General Assembly.
