
Logistics seminar
A seminar sponsored by Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the Academy
for International Trade and Transport (AITT).
The event will take place on November 21 at the Water’s Edge,
Battaramulla.
This seminar will discuss the current issues related to logistics,
realistic facts and Sri Lanka’s global standard as a logistics centre.
Batticaloa Chamber wants more assistance

Suntharesan urged the Government to provide more assistance to develop
agriculture, fishing, tourism and other small industries in the Eastern
province.
Suntharesan commenting on the current situation in the East said that
the business community in the East were looking forward to enhance their
business activities in the region.
“Therefore, the Government should make the arrangements for the
business community in the East to develop their activities” he said.
He said transport facilities were neglected in the East for a long
period.
However, now priority has been focussed to develop the Eastern
province.
The roads and highways connecting the other provinces and the cities
should be properly reconstructed with new bridges and vehicle
facilities, he added. |
