Hemas partners with Skynet Worldwide to enhance business

Hemas Holdings through its Transportation arm, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Skynet Worldwide Express.


Agreements: Harin Gomes, General Manager Skynet, Sri Lanka exchange agreements with Ahmed Nabih, Regional Manager, Gulf Skynet World Wide Express, Middle East hub Dubai.

Skynet is the 5th largest express courier in the world and the Largest Independently owned courier company.

At present SkyNet is servicing over 220 Countries with over 320 worldwide affiliate stations with more than 1100 branches worldwide.

Skynet offers the customer a variety of express and personalised courier services such as a tracking service that allows customers monitor their packages through its website.

The company lives up to its reputation for developing and providing its customers with innovative solution in response to demand. Skynet which has its head office in the Netherlands has regional hubs in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai, Singapore, Johonesburg and Sydney which serve as administration centers to ensure that standards of quality and performance are rigidly maintained by network members in the various regions.

General Manager of Skynet Sri Lanka, Harin Gomes said that this appropriate joint venture will help provide solutions for the customer who is expecting competitive offers, specially in speed, price and reliability.

The services will cover both the export and import express products, and the company will be introducing innovative solutions suitable to the Sri Lankan market.
