S.M. Tharindu Thivanka, a grade two student of Talawa Maha Vidyalaya is suffering from an acute heart ailment, and he has been recommended an urgent surgery for early device closure to save his life.

The surgery will be performed free of charge provided the patient provides the device. The cost of the device is Rs. 145,000.

Tharindu's father S.M. Leelananda of 22nd Mile Post, Kekirawa Road, Talawa says the President's Fund has provided Rs. 50,000 for this purpose. He is unable to find the balance money needed due to his present financial difficulties and seeks public assistance to help meet the balance cost and expedite the surgery.
