Enhanced Iranian aid for Lanka's development

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday held wide ranging bilateral talks with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad in Tehran yesterday, soon after arriving in Iran on a three-day State visit. The President, who arrived by a special flight, was greeted on arrival by President Ahmedinejad and accorded a Guard of Honour.

LTTE mortar fire injures five students, two teachers

LTTE mortar fire injured five students and two teachers of Irakkam school in Pulleadi, Mannar yesterday afternoon. A student and a teacher who were critically injured were admitted to the Mannar hospital, Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

Record ERP growth for IFS

The global Enterprise Resource Planning growth rate presently stands at 7 to 8 per cent, Vice President, South Asia, Industrial and Financial Solutions, Jayantha de Silva said. An anniversary celebration held to commemorate ten years of IFS in Sri Lanka. He said IFS has a recorded an ERP growth rate of 15 per cent.
