Ole Arshik, making dream of Mecca pilgrims a reality

Ole Marketing Private Ltd., bottlers and distributors of Ole Range of
carbonated soft drinks, announced the winners of the recently concluded
special Ramazan Umrah Promotion.
The five winners were picked by Group Director, The Capital Maharaja
Organisation Ltd., Angelo Patrick, Chief Executive Officer Anil de
Silva, Marketing Director Dulanee Weerackody, Factory Manager N.
Manoharan and Head of Sales B. Balakrishnan. Ole Marketing Private
Limited, in the presence of representing the Ministry of Home Affairs
and Public Administration Lalith Waduge and Agency representatives.
De Silva said "Amongst the range of carbonated soft drinks marketed
by the company, Ole Arshik is a popular drink amongst the Muslim
community and the demand for it increases during Ramazan. Thus we wanted
to reward the loyal consumers through a novel promotion. The idea for
the promotion was based on a key consumer insight.
The insight being that it is the dream of every Muslim to go on a
pilgrimage to Holy Mecca at least once in their lifetime. But to many
who can't afford, it remains a distant dream. Thus we at Ole decided to
make this dream of every Muslim come true through a specific community
based promotion during Ramazan."
Rafi Careem, M. I. M. Faizer, M. U. M. Shakeer, G. Naleem, Mohamed
Razik Rasmiya were the winners. De Silva further said, "This is a unique
promotion that no other company in Sri Lanka has conducted before. We
are indeed overwhelmed with the response and intend to extend this
promotion offering five more tickets."
Ole range of carbonated soft drinks consists of Ole Cream Soda, Ole
Ginger Beer, Ole Zingo, Ole Arshik, Ole Apple, Ole Nelli, Ole Soda and
Ole Plus, the recently introduced energy drink. |
