Wet conditions in Kandy
S.M. Jiffrey ABDEEN, Kandy South group corr.
Kandy is experiencing extremely wet conditions and the Sun has not
come out upto Wednesday (January 9th) causing much inconvenience to the
residents.
The afternoons are extremely cold and the hilly areas like Hantane,
Uduwela, Anniewatte are covered with thick mist in the nights and early
mornings.
Casual workers in various places who work in the fields are affected
as their employment depends on the weather.
Even if the rain ceases the cloudy and overcast conditions prevent
sunshine falling over the hill capital. |
