Local farmers adopting latest technology

COMPARED to other countries in the SAARC region there is a high adaptation of advanced technologies in the local agriculture sector. Operations Manager of CIC Seeds, Chandana Jayaratne told Daily News Business, that local farmers are rapidly adopting latest technologies in the agriculture sector compared to other countries in the region.

Silver Springs launched their bottled natural mineral water to the local and US markets. Managing Director of Silver Springs, a subsidiary of Pership Group, Niranjan Pereira said they will also be signing a contract with an international airline to serve Silver Springs in aircraft.
