NEW figures have shown that 20 illegal
immigrants every week were deported from the East of England in the
last nine months of 2007. Examples of recent cases in Norfolk
include the arrest at a Tamil pilgrimage on the north Norfolk coast
in July of nine failed asylum seekers from Sri Lanka.
