Sanath 118 shines for President's

Sanath Silva hit a sparkling 118 from 128 deliveries with five sixes and 14 boundaries while Sonia Perera captured six wickets to put President's College Rajagiriya in a strong position on the opening day of their inter school cricket tournament match against Lumbini MV which began at the Prison ground in Mahara yesterday.

President's College: 231 (N. Geethanja 20, S. Upuldeniya 44, S. Silva 118, S. Nuwan 3 for 56)

Lumbini MV: 75 (H. Rusiru 25, M. Aslam 34, S. Perera 6 for 17, V. Chaturanga 3 for 40)

Ananda 250; Royal 53/2

Royal were 53 for 2 in reply to Ananda's first innings total of 250 runs on the opening day of their inter school cricket tournament match which commenced at Rifle Green yesterday.

Ananda: 250 (S. Wijesuriya 64, P. Seneviratne 40, C. Rajaratne 4 for 13, K. Boteju 3 for 70)
