Delmege ventures into Vietnam

Delmege Forsyth and Company will set up a coir product manufacturing factory in Vietnam. Group Director Delmege Shamil Mendis said the main attraction for them to branch off to Vietnam was the raw material potential in Vietnam. "They are not only available in abundance but are also cheaper there and the labour market in Vietnam too is encouraging," he said.

Aditya Birla Group plans massive investment in Koggala

One of India's largest conglomerates, the Aditya Birla Group, is planning a massive investment in southern Sri Lanka. This is as a result of a meeting the Minister of Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion, Dr Sarath Amunugama held in New Delhi with two senior officials of the Birla Group, Global Business Head of Birla Carbon Rakesh Jain and the Group's Chief Economist Dr Ajit Ranade.
