New SLFP branch in Frankfurt

Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva who is in Germany now, will establish a political branch of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) at the Ramada Hotel in Frankfurt today to launch an international awareness campaign on LTTE crimes during the last 30 years, Ministry sources said.

The sources said about 300 Sri Lankans in Germany will be present where the Minister will ceremonially establish the branch and the awareness raising campaign.

Some political parties carry out pro-LTTE campaigns through their branches in foreign countries. This programme will launch a worldwide awareness raising campaign to educate leaders and people of foreign countries on various crimes executed by the LTTE during the last 30 years, the sources said.

De Silva will also request Sri Lankans abroad to actively contribute towards this global awareness campaign, the sources added.
