Denpasar arts institute links with Asian universities

The Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI)`s Denpasar chapter is intensively setting up cooperation with a number of arts institutes abroad, ISI Denpasar Rector I Wayan Rai has said.

The cooperation is featuring respective arts and cultural identities of every ASEAN member country, Wayan Rai said here on Sunday.

Rai pointed out that the ISI Denpasar had also signed cooperation agreements with Cambodia`s Royal University of Fine Art (RUFA) and institutes in Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.

He said cooperation with Malaysia`s arts and culture academy, ASWARA, was expected to be materialized soon with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries.

The cooperation was also expected to be mutually beneficial especially to the two countries` efforts to improve the education quality, he said. Antara
