Part 2:
American troops fought a war in South Vietnam
from 1962 to 1975 in which they were decisively defeated and the
Americans had to ignominiously withdraw from Vietnam. The Dutch
similarly went back to The Dutch East Indies to claim their colony.
The Dutch East Indies is now called Indonesia. They too were
defeated and Indonesia gained Independence.

Kosovo: The latest Balkan intrigue
Kosovo’s declaration of independence on February
17 brings the number of statelets born out of the former Yugoslavia,
population 23 million, to seven - Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro,
Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and now Kosovo, which boasts
an impressive two million.
