Thomians hit back

A decision could be expected if the fine weather prevails on day two for the St. Thomas' and St. Sebastian's inter-school under twenty division one cricket tournament match played at Mount Lavinia for the Lemonade Trophy.

Thomians batting first were bowled out for 78 runs and the wicket shared by Anuk de Alwis and Sanjaya Fernando who took 3 for 15 and 2 for 31 respectively.

Sebastianities in reply could not take the mean advantage and they were bundled out for 70 runs with Naveed Chany capturing 4 for 18.

Chief scores

St. Thomas' 78 (R. Nirooshan 24, Anuk de Alwis 3 for 15, Sanjaya Fernando 2 for 31 and 32 for 3 (Sumal Ferdinando 2 for 10).

St. Sebastians 70 (Ruchira de Silva 2 for 19, Naveed Ghany 4 for 18, Milan Fernando 3 for 16.
