Privileges for Tigers renouncing violence

Foreign employment an option for LTTEers surrendering to Forces:

The Government is committed to see that LTTE cadres willing to surrender to the Security Forces and Police will not be isolated in society and that their right to life is ensured, Government Defence Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said yesterday.

SLAF pounds Tiger airstrip

SLAF fighter jets bombed LTTE airstrip in the West of Mullaitivu yesterday at 9.45 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said. He said the airstrip that was bombed yesterday was a different one from the LTTE airstrip in Iranamadu and it has also been bombed on several occasions earlier.

Wanni ops unhindered by bad weather

Offensive operations against the LTTE are being continued in the Wanni undeterred by bad weather in the Wanni capturing strategic LTTE locations, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said yesterday.
