St. Anne's College Kurunegala powered their way into the
inter-schools knock out limited overs cricket tournament final with a
close 15 run victory over St. Aloysius College Galle in the semi-final
fixture worked off at the BRC grounds in Havelock Park yesterday.
St. Anne's: 155 in 49.5 overs (O. Gunasekera 27, C. Issanka 2 for 36,
V. Jithmal 2 for 40).
St. Aloysius: 140 in 48.2 overs (D. Jayatilleke 27, S. Saranga 40,
Vidula Jithmal 30, N. Rodrigo 3 for 28, C. Edirisinghe 2 for 16, A. S.
Wanninayake 2 for 24). -
Nalanda into final
Nalanda College edged out D. S. Senanayake College by two wickets in
their inter-school knock out limited overs cricket tournament semi-final
match played at Braybrooke Place yesterday.
D. S. Senanayake: 130 in 46.2 overs (T. Anurudda 23, I. Udana 38, A.
Subasinghe 3 for 21, D. Munaweera 3 for 24, A. Atapattu 2 for 13).
Nalanda: 131 for 8 in 46.2 overs (A. Subasinghe 23, M. Warnapura 29,
