Yunus Fulail (8) of No 17, Devanampiyatissa Mawatha, Colombo 10 is
suffering from Growth Hormone deficiency. According to consultant Dr.
Shamya de Silva, this hormone is very essential for growing in height.
Yunus Fulail is very short due his deficiency of this hormone. The
treatment for this condition is daily injections of Growth Hormone (GH)
which is not issued from the Lady Ridgeway Children's hospital and has
to be purchased from outside.
According to Yunus's present height and weight he needs 11.6 units of
recombinant GH per week.
This amounts to Rs. 20,000 per month. Yunus's mother S. Rubeena
Fulail says her family is unable to foot this bill due to its current
financial plight. She requests philanthropists and the public to assist
her son's cause by sending whatever financial contributions possible to
ensure continued treatment for him.
All contributions should be remitted to account number 7036374 at the
Bank of Ceylon, Maradana Branch 041. |
