Indian policemen in ceremonial dress present arms outside the Civil Secretariat complex during a ceremony marking the first day of the ‘Darbar Move’ in Srinagar yesterday. The Civil Secretariat, which houses the offices of the Chief Minister and his colleagues, reopened in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir. In a tradition known as the Darbar Move, the Government moves office to the winter capital, Jammu during the winter months and reopens them in Srinagar in the summer. AFP
